Willie Holdman has been capturing the magic of the southern Utah desert for over 35 years.
Although a landowner for over 20 years in Teasdale, his first experiences there were with his
father, whom he accompanied on photography assignments for National Geographic. A fond
memory is a reenactment of a pioneer handcart team over boulder mountain when it was still a
dirt road. Over the years, Willie has found his soul food here amongst the ponderosa and
aspens of Boulder Mountain to all the red rock plateaus and canyons of Wayne County. His
work is collected all over the world, as signed limited edition prints. He has published several
books on Utah, the latest being “Utah, A Sanctuary”. For Willie, this region is exactly that, a
sanctuary. It’s a refuge from what the world has become, to a simpler time when people were
more at one with the landscape and natural wonders of Mother Earth. To see more of Willie’s
